get arm toolchain from https://launchpad.net/gcc-arm-embedded:
- sudo add-apt-repository ppa:terry.guo/gcc-arm-embedded
- sudo apt-get update
- sudo apt-get install gcc-arm-none-eabi
install eclipse-cdt: sudo apt-get install eclipse-cdt

note that the stdperiph lib version might change when adding paths to project like: ${ProjDirPath}/../STM32F0xx_StdPeriph_Lib_V1.0.0/Libraries/CMSIS/Device/ST/STM32F0xx/Include
note the UTF8 chars in this tutorial at least for dash and quotation marks.
